Media Kampung, Cairo – Rulani Mokwena, head coach of Egyptian side Pyramids FC, said he will make every effort to meet newly appointed South Africa national team manager Pitso Mosimane during the coach’s upcoming trip to Cairo.
Mokwena shared his intention on the programme “Changing Room,” noting that a face‑to‑face meeting would be an opportunity to congratulate Mosimane on taking charge of Bafana Bafana and to discuss football development between the two nations.
The South African side is set to compete in Group D of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying round, alongside Kenya, Guinea and Eritrea. Mosimane’s first tasks include a home match against Guinea on 26 September, a clash with Eritrea on 30 September, and a friendly against Egypt in Cairo on 4 October.
Mokwena also reflected on Mosimane’s previous tenure in Egypt with Al Ahly, describing it as a period that offered valuable experience despite mixed results.
