The MLS clash saw Antoine Griezmann open the scoring just before halftime with an acrobatic finish, marking his fifth consecutive league goal and extending the club’s single‑season scoring streak. Harvey Sarajian added a second goal in the 82nd minute, completing his first MLS tally.
In the MLS NEXT Pro encounter, Orlando City B took the lead in the 27th minute when Ignacio Gómez finished from a through ball by Issah Haruna. Gustavo Caraballo doubled the advantage fifteen minutes later with a left‑footed strike from outside the box. A third goal arrived in the 58th minute after Haruna supplied Harvey Sarajian, who finished low inside the area.
Toronto FC II managed a consolation penalty in the 84th minute, converted by Elias Khodri, but could not overturn the deficit.
