Media Kampung – Pearl Abyss has announced that the release of its upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert, titled Charting the Unknown, has been delayed by two weeks. The new release date is set for October 29, 2026, moving from the originally planned launch of October 15, 2026.

After seven months of rapid updates for this single-player RPG, the developer has urged players to be patient and supportive of the process. The new release times are:

  • Europe: October 29, 2026 (Thu) at 2200 (UTC) and 2300 (CET)
  • North America: October 29, 2026 (Thu) at 1500 (PT) and 1800 (ET)
  • Asia: October 30, 2026 (Fri) at 0700 (KST)

News writer Harvey Randall previously noted in August that Pearl Abyss would be slowing down the frequency of free updates to focus on the development of this DLC. Since its launch, Crimson Desert has introduced various new features, including new creatures, chests, a shotgun, and various gameplay enhancements.

Fans have expressed understanding of the delay, emphasizing the importance of quality over speed in game development. The first trailer for Charting the Unknown showcased exciting features such as building construction options, reminiscent of Skyrim’s Hearthfire DLC, and innovative gameplay mechanics like running on water.

Though the delay is relatively short in the context of the gaming industry, which often experiences longer development timelines, players are encouraged to support the developers as they finalize this highly anticipated content.
