Media Kampung – 25 Maret 2026 | President Prabowo Subianto addressed several issues ranging from misinformation about alleged aid to Indonesia’s foreign policy and domestic transport management.
A video circulated on Facebook claiming the president would grant Rp 50 million to each citizen was investigated by Liputan6’s fact‑checking team.
The team found the footage was edited from a ceremony on 7 November 2025 when Prabowo inaugurated ten members of the “Kabinet Merah Putih” and the national police chief, not a donation announcement.
No official statement or presidential decree related to a Rp 50 million assistance program exists, and the presidential account on social media never posted such a message.
Liputan6 concluded the claim is false, warning the public against sharing unverified content that could stir panic or false expectations.
In a separate briefing, Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause during a press meeting at his Hambalang residence on 17 March 2026.
He explained that Indonesia’s participation in the U.S.–led “Board of Peace” stems from a strategic aim to give Jakarta leverage in the implementation of the Trump peace plan for Gaza.
Prabowo said Jakarta is ready to deploy peacekeeping troops if Palestinian authorities and Hamas consent, but the country will not finance the board’s US $1 billion membership fee.
The president emphasized that Indonesia’s stance is guided by humanitarian principles and the nation’s historic role as a leading Muslim country advocating for Palestinian self‑determination.
When asked about his frequent overseas trips, Prabowo clarified that the journeys are diplomatic missions, not leisure trips, aimed at securing trade agreements and protecting national interests.
He cited recent negotiations that resulted in a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the European Union and tariff‑free access for Indonesian products to Canada.
According to Prabowo, Indonesian ministers conduct preliminary lobbying, after which he personally finalizes deals with foreign heads of state, such as the kings of Belgium and the Netherlands.
The president also referenced a phone conversation with Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, during which they discussed regional security concerns, including the ongoing Iran‑related tensions.
Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya reported that the Lebaran return‑flow transportation system operated smoothly on 25 March 2026, meeting the president’s expectations.
Teddy highlighted that only one minor congestion point occurred at the Pulo Gebang bus terminal, which was quickly resolved by transport officials and police.
He praised Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi for personally inspecting land, sea, and air transport facilities to ensure uninterrupted travel during the holiday period.
The combined statements illustrate Prabowo’s focus on countering misinformation, reinforcing Indonesia’s foreign policy priorities, and delivering efficient public services.
Officials remain confident that these efforts will strengthen public trust and uphold Indonesia’s role on the regional and global stage.
