Media Kampung – 21 Maret 2026 | Fans from English club Chelsea and French side RC Strasbourg will hold a joint demonstration in London ahead of Chelsea’s home match against Manchester United on April 18.
The action is organized by activist group NotAProjectCFC together with representatives of Strasbourg ultras – Ultra Boys 90, Kop Ciel et Blanc, Fédération des Supporters du RCS, and Pariser.
They plan to march toward Stamford Bridge to deliver a clear message: BlueCo Out.
BlueCo, the consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, acquired Chelsea in 2022 and added Strasbourg to its multi‑club model a year later.
This dual ownership has drawn criticism for eroding club identities and limiting the freedom of traditional supporter groups.
NotAProjectCFC stated that the protest aims to highlight incompetence and mis‑management at both clubs as well as the restrictions imposed by multi‑club ownership.
In a statement on X they wrote, Kami percaya momen ini dapat menjadi titik seismik dalam sejarah sepak bola, di mana suporter dari negara berbeda bersatu demi perubahan.
The previous protest before a match against Brentford in January attracted only a few hundred fans, while the Strasbourg groups together represent roughly two thousand supporters.
This time, dozens of Strasbourg fans are expected to travel to London to join the Chelsea demonstrators.
Chelsea’s recent form has declined, highlighted by an 8‑2 aggregate loss to Paris Saint‑Germain in the Champions League round of 16 and a Carabao Cup semi‑final defeat to Arsenal.
Strasbourg, meanwhile, sits eighth in Ligue 1 and remains active in the French Cup and the Conference League.
The tension rose in January when Strasbourg head coach Liam Rosenior was appointed Chelsea manager, replacing Enzo Maresca.
Supporters argue that such moves reinforce the perception that clubs in the BlueCo network are treated as interchangeable assets.
Transfer data shows that by the end of the 2025 summer window, twelve players had moved between Chelsea and Strasbourg.
Chelsea Supporters’ Trust has not endorsed the protest’s messaging, though it has lodged complaints about the club’s digital ticketing policy.
London police have been informed of the planned march, but no indication of denied permits has been reported.
Organizers emphasize that the demonstration will remain peaceful and reject any form of violence.
If successful, the protest could force BlueCo to reconsider its multi‑club strategy and give greater voice to supporters.
Football analysts note that collective pressure from two sizable fan bases may increase the owners’ willingness to engage with supporter concerns.
All eyes will be on Stamford Bridge on April 18 as the clubs, owners, and supporters await the potential impact of the joint protest.
